 Unit11  I’m sorry. (Period 1)

二完小   谢红艳

Teaching aims: 1. Be able to listen and say the words: happy  sad  shy  angry  excited  proud and sorry.

2. Be able to use the new words in the sentence: she/He is/feels……  I’m/feel sorry./angry…

3. Read and understand the conversation in Part C.

4. Be able to express their own feelings in daily life and be proud of our country.

Key and difficult points:

 (1) How to use the new ads words to express one’s feelings rightly and exactly.

(2) The important sentence: I’m/feel happy.

Teaching steps:

Step1. Organization of class

1.Warm-up Sing the song:If you are happy

2.Greetings:T:Hello, boys and girls ! Nice to meet you! Are you happy today?Today I am very  happy.I feel happy.There are so many lovely teachers and students in our classroom.

Step2. Lead-in

 

T: Do you like playing games? When I play games, I am very happy.I feel very very happy.How do you feel when you play games?

Step3 Presentation and drill

Look at the ppt.

(1)happy  Who is the he ?How does he feel?Yes, he feels happy.How do you spell “happy”?Teach the word and write it on the blackboard.

(2)sad  look at the next picture and ask:Is he happy too?No, he isn’t .He is sad.

(3)sorry  The boy broke the flowerpot.He feels sorry.Let us ask him:How do you feel?Play the boy’s answer:I am sorry. I feel sorry.Today we will learn unit 11 I am sorry.Write the title and I am sorry. I feel  sorry on  the blackboard.

(4)excited  Who is he ?He is Lin Dan .He wins the match.How does he feel?He is excited.

(5)proud  Who is the woman?She is Liu Yang.She feels proud.

(6)shy  How does the boy feel?He feels shy.

(7)Is the girl happy now?No, she isn’t.she is angry.

 

Step4 Practice

1.Look at the pictures and answer the questions.

2.Words big lucky wheel、

3.I’m a magician.Ask some students come to the front to change their faces.Let the other students  guess their feelings.

4.Pair work.

How do you feel?Are you happy/ sad...?  Yes, I’m happy/ sad…

Invite two pairs to practice their dialogues.

(1)    The teachers ask some students.

(2)    Pair work.

(3)    Ask two pairs of students to read their dialogues.

Step 5 Consolidation

(1)    Now please open yours books at page. Look at part C and finish the exercise.

(2)    Check their answers.

(3) Look at the picture of the ppt.Ask the students:Who are they?They are Chinese.They are...How do they feel?Are they proud?Yes,they  are proud.Are you proud too?Yes,we are proud.Let’s  say it  together:We are Chinese.We are proud.We feel proud.

Step 6 Homework

1、Please cope these words five times.

2、Read part c.
